I can finally share my work with everyone! We worked very hard for this project.I was approached by the main programmer/co-founder a month ago, and he gave me full freedom on level design for making dungeons and caves for this game. I worked countless hours from paper design to blockout to polish, and pacing, balancing, enemy placements, and so much more. I was given a huge responsibility as a solo level designer, and as a new level designer, I knew I had to rely on all my inspiration from games like the Zelda series, the Dark Souls series, Elden Ring, and Skyrim to bring out something players would enjoy exploring. I have engraved my passion into all the level design work because my soul belongs in making RPGs and unique 3D games. I am so proud of our small team for finishing this demo and having our game featured and played at the Game Tournament (First Attack) in Puerto Rico and at an Unreal Authorized University for gathering feedback. As I write this, I am in tears, and I am here to tell you that, with your hard work and dedication. You can move around what may seem like an impossible task if you are just starting out on your game dev journey. Do not give up! Our project (Daibouken) is not perfect, but we are working hard every day to make this game enjoyable for anyone looking to join a new adventure. I am looking forward to sharing more updates in the coming days, and we are currently making changes in our combat system and enemy AI. This game demo was made in Unreal Engine 5.5, and we used Diversion as version control.
