This was one of the toughest projects I've worked on in terms of leading 10 people for making "Letters from Nadine" and checking everyone understands the game idea. I initially pitched this idea to each member by a hand-drawn map, I also had to paint the bigger picture by canvassing into their imagination, but deep down I knew I needed writers to create stories because I had no story in my mind: I just had the level, enemy references, puzzles, and player tasks in my level design document. We communicate using our Discord channel, having all different subchannels for all the departments, from 3D arts, modeling, writers, programmers, VFX, music/sound effects, level design, lore writing, questions, and many more.We used Diversion as version control and the game was made using Unreal Engine 5.6.1 I am so proud and incredibly lucky to have met the teammates that believed in my idea, and without them, it would have been impossible. This project helped me to realize how much dedication I will need to make amazing games that I have played and that have brought me so much joy and happiness. My journey has just begun, and I cannot wait to make more cool games with other people that share similar passion. We worked countless late hours and sometimes even 12+ hours a day to make this game. Our game is a little bit emotionally intense; the game deals with sensitive topics such as depression, suicide, and trauma. We advise players to approach the experience with awareness. We hope you enjoy the game, we have worked hard on it. Thank you, and if you have difficulty finding people to match your energy, do not give up. This game was a submission to SCREAM JAM 2025.
