Map Designs Showcase
A fun map making experiment: I had a great time creating this map, and the entire process took around three hours. It was a fun challenge to start with a simple scene and gradually build it into a detailed world.
Built from the ground up: I began by shaping the landscape and adding the sea. From there, I worked my way across the map, placing mountains, trees, enemy camps, and paths to give the environment more character and make it feel like a place ready to explore.
Handplaced details: Every element you see was placed meticulously. That includes the artwork, rocks, mountains, and foliage scattered throughout the scene. I enjoyed arranging each piece and finding ways to make the environment feel more natural and interesting.
More to discover: This post only shows part of the finished map. There are plenty of other objects and small details across the scene that aren’t included here, so there’s more to explore beyond what you can see.
A creative process I enjoy: Map design is such a fun and fascinating way to bring an idea to life. I like starting with the larger shapes of the world and then adding smaller details that help give each area its own atmosphere.
