GBDSS has an incredible tradition of performing large-scale musicals. Notable past productions have included the likes of the Music Man, the Little Mermaid, and Matilda to name a few. This year, we embark on our largest production to date, Roger’s and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
All the information you need to get involved in Cinderella is available here! Use the tabs below to have a look at audition requirements to be in the cast or band, and see application information for Positions of Responsibility.

Step 2 - Acting Audition
Choose an acting excerpt. Options are available here.
Submit a recording of you performing one of the provided audition scenes by October 3rd. Submit your video here.
Tips:
- We only need to see you on camera. You can have a scene partner off camera, but they can read their lines aloud.
- We need to hear you clearly and see your facial performance. Make sure you're large and visible in the shot and that the audio records.
- Just acting is enough. You don't need to worry about fancy backgrounds, costumes, lighting or anything else technical. We just need to see you performing.
If you have any questions about the acting audition, please see Ms. Main or email her at bmain@scdsb.on.ca
Band auditions will be posted towards the end of November.
