Extracurriculars

Junior Band is an ensemble formed by students who are new to playing an instrument. This group starts the year by going over the basics and concludes with students becoming full fledged musicians.

Concert Band is an ensemble perfect for the seasoned player. This ensemble is dedicated to the continued development of students’ musical skills. This group performs regularly at both school and community functions.

Jazz Band is an auditioned ensemble who plays through both new music and jazz standards. This group features wind instruments and a rhythm section comprised of a piano, guitar, bass, and drum player. ​

Pit Band is the group that accompanies the school musical. They play through highly demanding music. In the 2020 school year, the group is accompanying The Jazz Age: A Cabaret Experience; stay tuned for next year’s show.

Choir is an vocalist ensemble which meets regularly at lunches to sing. Welcome to new singers, and experienced vocalists alike, Choir offers fun opportunities to sing with a group and develop skills at singing rich harmonies. Choir competes at annual Musicfest competitions.

In light of the recent pandemic, we have continued to provide excellence in music programming by offering percussion ensembles. To date, we have had over fifty students taking part in three separate groups.
