Design and development studio course focused on the creation of projects (games, applications, websites, video, etc.) that can take a wide variety of forms, from physical games to virtual reality.
The Game and Project Design Studio courses are within the Master of Arts in Media and Information at Michigan State University. You can find out more at gradstudies.mi.msu.edu (external site)
You have the opportunity to create your game or project in collaboration with other students in this course. You each have unique skills which can be an asset to the creation of other student's games or projects. After we get to know each other more, you may find shared interest in a topic such as climate change or park rangering. So for example a game design student might have ideas of how to make that topic more engaging through game and the use of entertainment strategies.
You may collaborate with people outside of this course. They could be undergrad students, masters students, professors, or outside collaborators.
