Overview

Attending and presenting at conferences is a way to be known in the industry. They won't be able to hire you unless they know you. This will also build your portfolio of talks, presentations and workshops, making you the expert. Winning awards proves your success.

This is the google sheets I would like you to add your sets of networking events.

Assignment

Here is a Google Sheet that we can share.
There is already a list of conferences and events that may be helpful to you.

The first tab is for Brain Storming, add any that are extra there
Then we can divide and conquer looking for
- Conferences
- Journals
- Game Jams
- UX Events
- PodCasts
- Other great ways to expand our connections and our resumes.
Please add at least 5 events or cons and don't overlap each others additions. Include dates. location, description of the conference, your idea for a presentation or submission.
Then, create your list of conferences or events that would be good for you to attend and present at and think about how your work can fit in their calls.
- Make a short presentation to show the class - slides may be best.
Propose a talk, poster, workshop, join the group or game jam, join the meetup.
- work Susan and your committee on the proposal so that it matches their needs and can be a winner.
