Review the Collaboration and Leadership slides and ensure you have written your initial design challenge question and then your revised design challenge question.
Claim your roles, more than just your name, but what expertise did you bring to the project?
Copy your original slides.
Share the new slides with anyone with the link to comment.
Share the link on your discord channel and ping @SusanBonner so that I can add it to this page.
Reduce your new presentation to make the points you would like to make.
Your final presentation will be 15-20 minutes.
Each Collaborator in the class should participate in some part of the talk/video
Include Key points:
Each Module may be summarized into one slide
Include your goals for the future of the project including team member goals and if you will continue the project next semester.
Include a video walk through if you have any moving elements in your game or project so that it can be viewed on your presentation without you being there.
Before the Exam start time (Tuesday, December 12, 3:00) Prepare a video presenting your project or game
Present from the slides or use them as a guide to show in context of the game or project prototype
Each team member should present an aspect of the game or project
Consider this a pitch to potential new team members, producers or backers
Time limit is 15 -20 minutes
Be succinct
Share the video with anyone with the link to view (it does not need to be public and may be unlisted as long as the class has access to the video)
Post your video to your Discord channel by Tuesday, December 12, 3:00
Susan will then post them on a Final Exam Page and share the link with you.
Susan will be available on Zoom and Discord during exam time for any questions. If you have a personal question, I can open up a break out room. https://msu.zoom.us/my/susanbonner
You may also ask questions to Susan during the exam in the Discord Class Chat that are not personal.
You are not required to attend in person.
You are not required to attend on zoom.
You are not required to attend with your team. All exam responses should be done individually instead of as a team.
If you and/or your team does not submit their video by the deadline, at the start of the exam, others will not be required to review it.
You may submit your video before the start of the exam. This is encouraged so that there is not processing time at the beginning of the exam.
The MSU Fall Games Showcase is:
Thursday December 14 5-7pm in CAS 147 + 154
The MSU Games Fall Showcase will be Thursday, December 14th from 5-7pm in CAS 147 & 154!!! Come see and show the amazing work that all of you have done this semester. The first hour will take place in CAS 147, where faculty will be showing some of the best work from their classes, and then everyone can head over to CAS 154 for live demos of the games. If we need it, we can also overflow into more spaces for showing games. Please feel free to bring friends and family to this fantastic event showcasing your great work!
Help and info:
If you would like to have your game installed on a computer in Room 154 Ryan Thompson will be helping with that during the beginning of exam week.
You may have a print of your game displayed, large format printing is available at the library.
During the Showcase Talk I will have 2-5 minutes to share the games on the big screen in the big auditorium. I will pull from the best game examples. This will be a time that the faculty and the undergrads will be present to see parts of your recorded pitches.
