Orientation has a 100% participation policy.  We understand that people get sick, and we will consider illness an excused absence, so if you are not feeling well, please stay home and inform Orientation staff at FSOrientation@state.gov of any in-person or virtual classes that you need to miss.  We will work with you to provide make-up assignments as well as instructions for how to request leave once you are up and running on Department IT systems. 

The Department follows the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), which has been updated to provide universal guidance for respiratory illnesses, including Influenza (flu), Covid-19, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and others.
