You are invited and encouraged to serve on one of five student committees during Foreign Service Orientation. You'll rank your committee preferences - including the option to not serve on a committee - in the Pre-Orientation Survey, so we thought it would be helpful to provide details on each committee's responsibilities for you to review before the program starts. You will be given further instructions by the Orientation Team about each committee's responsibilities in Week 1 of Orientation.
Below you will find information about each committee. During Orientation, the Orientation team will provide members of each committee with instructions explaining the roles and requirements of the individual committees. You can also feel free to ask your sponsoring class about their experiences with each committee.
We encourage you to use your creativity to come up with new ways to adapt these roles to this ever-changing environment.
