I am a neurologist at Avicenne Hospital and a professor at Sorbonne Paris Nord University (PU-PH). My clinical responsibilities include managing the Functional Neurological Disorders (FND) Unit and the Memory Clinic at Avicenne Hospital.
My primary research focuses on functional neurological disorders, encompassing several key areas:
Describing the semiology of FND, including clinical signs, overlaps with functional somatic disorders, and the identification of predisposing, precipitating, and perpetuating factors, as well as neurophysiological correlates such as oculovideography.
Evaluating innovative treatments for FND, including brain stimulation, virtual reality, but also diagnostic explanation and therapeutic education.
Investigating the pathophysiology including cognitive and imaging correlates of FND.
I am enthusiastic about mentoring Master’s and PhD students. You can find me at the ICM on Thursdays.
