Not really a blog, but beneficial is my Pinterest account, where I track and add Photos and graphics on a variety of subjects.

I have, for some time, blogged on the Substack platform, with some success, my number of readers is growing steadily, and that encorages me to add more. A lot of the articles are  in prep for the rewrite of Mitchells Construction set of books, its long overdue, as I think out of the 9 or so books in the current series, some are nearly 16 years out of date. 

So the great project is underway, I always wondered what I would do when I retires, little did I know it would be researching construction, and writing it up, in a way I have not done for a long time. Before it was individual posts with little thought on how it might fit into a book series as old as Mitchells, first published in 1888, by Chaltes F Mitchell, his brother geaorge, a far number of their collegues at Regent Street Polytechnic, and a number of Authorers who took over after George retired. The passing of Charles in 1916 was a major blow, but thanks to George it carried on..

So in this post I have taken a look at Building Science, is particular Angles, and trig , I hope is of interest, if you need research then make contact, my new company "Frog Up or Down " would be pleased to help.

Charles F Mitchell began one of the most successfull construction books in the world, and the most consistantly updated. Almost every one in Architecture, Construction , will have either had their own copies or had access to a copy from a friend or library.  The impact on so many students round the globe is massive, yet few know the history of the Mitchell Family. So this is a first stab at correcting that. In later issues, I will look at Robert, the older brother, and George, the youngest. Plus the staff at the time, who were the silent partners.
