Assist with the cooking process and packaging during EXPO
Although my main role was in operations, I also contributed to sales during busy periods. I assisted in preparing customer orders and also do the packaging. By ensuring fast preparation and smooth workflow, I helped reduce waiting time, which encouraged more customers to buy from our stall. My contribution to efficient operations supported the team in achieving sales and positive customer feedback throughout the project. This experience showed me that good operations play an important role in overall sales performance.
Knowledge
Through this entrepreneurship project, I gained knowledge about basic food business operations. I learned the importance of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness when handling and frying food. I also understood how factors such as oil temperature, frying time, and ingredient preparation affect the quality and taste of fries. In addition, I learned how efficient operations and consistent food quality can influence customer satisfaction and overall business performance.
Skills
I also developed various practical skills, especially in operations and cooking. I improved in cooking skills by learning how to fry fries properly by controlling the oil temperature, timing the frying process correctly, and ensuring the fries were cooked evenly. This helped produce fries that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also learned how to avoid common mistakes such as undercooking, overcooking or uneven frying. In addition, I developed the ability to fry fries efficiently during busy periods while maintaining consistent quality and food hygiene.
Attitude
On the attitude side, this experience helped me develop a positive and responsible attitude towards work. I learned to be more disciplined, patient and focused especially when handling hot oil and cooking equipment. Futhermore, I developed a cooperative attitude by helping my teammates whenever needed and being open to feedback in order to improve my performance. This project taught me the importance of commitment and teamwork in running a successful business.
This entrepreneurship project motivated me to work harder and be more committed to my role in the team. Seeing customers enjoy our fries gave me satisfaction and encouraged me to maintain good food quality and service. I was also motivated by the teamwork among my group members, which pushed me to support others and perform my tasks responsibly. This experience increased my confidence in handling real business operations and motivated me to continue improving my skills, especially in food preparation and operations. Overall, this project inspired me to appreciate the effort behind running a business and motivated me to consider entrepreneurship as a possible future opportunity.
