I served as the Marketing Leader of FriesLab, focusing on marketing strategy, content planning, and technical part. My role complemented the design-focused teammate by handling data organisation, captions, and platform planning.
I prepared pre-order forms, organised sales and order data, and wrote promotional captions for social media. I proposed the 1+3 marketing strategy, ensuring consistent posting across three platforms each week.
During product preparation, I assisted in standardising frying procedures based on my previous experience at a fries outlet. On expo day, I engaged directly with customers, explained pricing, and helped manage orders. I also introduced a written order-record system to reduce confusion and improve workflow.
Individually, I contributed to at least 15 sales during the expo.
Throughout this business practicum, I developed a more professional and positive working attitude. During team discussions, there were moments of disagreement or misunderstanding, which initially caused frustration. However, I learned to manage my emotions, stay calm, and respond with patience. This helped me communicate more clearly, avoid unnecessary conflict, and maintain good teamwork. I also learned the importance of trusting teammates in their respective roles instead of trying to handle everything alone.
This practicum strengthened my interpersonal and practical skills, especially in communication, teamwork, and real-time problem-solving. I improved my ability to explain ideas clearly during discussions and to present product information confidently to customers in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. I also gained experience in integrating different opinions, coordinating work processes, and adapting quickly when issues occurred during operations and expo day activities.
Through this experience, I gained practical knowledge in marketing strategies and business operations. I learned how marketing concepts such as branding, promotion timing, and customer engagement are applied in real business settings, not just in theory. This practicum also increased my understanding of how marketing decisions are influenced by operations, customer behaviour, and teamwork, making me more confident in applying marketing strategies in real-life business situations.
