Putting the community and its people first
Hamilton County councilman and past president Fred Glynn is a leader in business, finance, and community service. As a policy leader, he formed an organization teaming successful attorneys, accountants, and small business owners to craft the inaugural small business startup policy for the Governor's campaign. Fred uses his know-how in finance in preparing county budgets, tax rates, salaries, and approving requested appropriations while practicing fiscal conservatism to make the most out of the community's financial resources. In all his work in the council, he puts the best interests of the people first.
Fred Glynn obtained his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Florida. Before establishing a career in business, finance, and governance, he worked as a certified airframe power plant technician (A&P). Fred then focused on selling and managing businesses involved in the banking, insurance, and mortgage industries by utilizing excellent contact lists, referrals, and networking skills. With strong business acumen, he built two companies from scratch that went on to become growing and profitable ventures.
To stay healthy, Fred Glynn enjoys running, weightlifting, and hiking in state parks. He and his wife are volunteers at Race for the Cure and have volunteered for Gleaners Food Bank.
