In the interpretive task, you and your partner each read about different ways to reduce air pollution. Now you will share what you learned with your partner.
What can people do to reduce their contribution to air pollution? What should they do? What will you do to help minimize the amount of air pollution you create?
Ask your partner about what he/she read, and tell him/her about what you learned in the sections of the article that you read. Inquire about your partners' plan to reduce his/her air pollution contribution.
Be sure to react/respond to what your partner says. Do you agree/disagree? Did you know what he/she told you already? What do you think of their ideas? What questions do you have for them?
Record your discussion on Lingt.
Each student will complete both an individual, and partner, presentational assessment.
Individual Presentational
1. Using what you learned in this unit, including information in the interpretive and interpersonal tasks, create a personal action plan to reduce your contribution to air pollution. What can you do to reduce air pollution in your daily life? Submit as a Google Doc via email.

Partner Presentational
1. You and your partner have now become air pollution experts. Your job is to share what you know with our community. To do so, you will create a clean air campaign. You may create a blog post, podcast, or video. If you have another idea, get approval from Frau DeRidder before beginning. Your campaign must explain the causes of air pollution, discuss the ways in which air pollution is harmful to health, and suggest ways that people can and should (think modal verbs!) help reduce air pollution in our community. Exceptional projects will also include comparisons between US & German beliefs and practices regarding air pollution. Your clean air campaign will be added to our class blog, shared with other classes, and German speakers in our community.
