Rationale:
This technology module is situated within my Freetime Unit plan. Freetime is often a topic in level 1 German classes, but can be without much deeper meaning. In an effort to make this unit engaging, and use meaningful, authentic materials, we are examining soccer through the lens of cultural products, practices, and perspective. In this lesson, students will watch a news interview in German of a man who is using soccer to help integrate refugees into German society.
