Mangle is the toy version of Foxy, who somehow is in an even worse condition than the Classic counterpart. Originally called Funtime Foxy (not to be confused with the SL counterpart), Mangle was constantly being torn apart by the kids. The staff had to fix up the character after the end of every shift, but eventually they gave up and repurposed the character as a "take apart-put back together" attraction. This is where the staff gave this version of Foxy the cruel name of "The Mangle".
One really divisive trait about Mangle and even Funtime Foxy is that the pronouns and actual gender for the character are inconsistent. Phone Guy in 2 calls Mangle using male pronouns, but the character was put into the "Ladies Night" challenge in Custom Night. This continued in later games where the characters and even the in-game text switch up using male and female pronouns for the Mangle. Strangely, Mangle and Funtime Foxy are only referred with male pronouns in the Animatronic Encyclopedia.
According to Scott, he didn't want to answer this debate and simply left it as "is Mangle a boy or a girl? The answer is: yes."
In the Animatronic Encyclopedia, Mangle is referred to only using male pronouns instead.
The Puppet is believed to be one of the earliest murders committed by William Afton, as seen in both 2 and FFPS.
In FNaF 2, the "Take Cake to the Children" minigame shows a kid crying outside of the pizzeria (possibly Fredbear's Family Diner) with hte words "SAVEHIM" being spelled out. Eventually, a purple car shows up and William steps out, then the kid's tears eventually get bigger until they turn into a gray being with dark tear marks. The Puppet's jumpscare is then trigger.
This is reshown in more detail in FFPS. The Security Puppet minigame shows that there is an "assigned child" that should not reach the exit. The child in question wears a green bracelet. Later you find that the other kids put boxes over the Puppet's area and apparently locked the "assigned child" out of the pizzeria. This explains why the Puppet child was outside. Upon getting out, the Puppet tries to save the child, but it was too late that this child was killed. The Puppet then collapses next to the child, allowing the kid to possess it.
In FNaF 2, this child is said to be a male (SAVEHIM), but in FFPS, it's said to he the daughter of Cassette Man. This is the only blatantly confirmed retcon in the entire series.
Sometime after the MCI, the Puppet then " "
