You are the management body of Malipayon, and your task, along with your mayor, is to come up with a well-informed fisheries management decision based on given data.
Fish catch is regularly monitored as fishers and traders are required to submit their catch data to the Municipal Fisheries Officer (MFO).
The MFO then consolidates and analyzes the data to submit the results to the Mayor and the management body.
The management body holds a meeting to discuss this data and make decisions to ensure that their fish stocks are kept at a sustainable level.
You are expected to share your policy recommendations during the meeting.

The chart below represents the annual catch data of Malipayon. The blue bars represent the average number of kilos caught through hook and line fishing, while the green represents catch from fine mesh net fishing.
The catch data analysis above shows that overfishing is present in the municipality. In addition, the numbers show that a high percentage of the catch are juveniles attributed to the use of fine mesh nets. Juveniles must not be fished to allow them to reach maturity and reproduce, therefore keeping fish stocks at sustainable levels.
