Coastal fisheries are at the crossroads of people, biodiversity, and climate change. Coastal overfishing requires a solution that addresses the needs of people and nature.

Fish Forever partners with coastal communities, governments, and other organizations to establish networks of managed access and reserve areas, and harness networks of people to collectively build healthy and resilient coastal communities and ecosystems through community-led coastal fisheries management.

Throughout the Fish Forever Quest participants experience how to:

Establish networks of marine reserves and managed access areas.
Build household financial resilience to facilitate the adoption of sustainable fishing practices.
Practice skills needed for a management body to be effective.
Use data to make fisheries management decisions.
Garner support from community members for sustainable fishing practices.
Create an enabling environment for long-term management of coastal fisheries that includes policy and financial mechanisms to sustain activities at the local and community levels.
