NC College Connect is a direct admission opportunity for high school seniors attending public high schools in North Carolina. It is a simpler and faster way to get admitted to schools in North Carolina. If you are a senior with at least a 2.8 weighted GPA, and you meet the NC College Connect requirements, you are automatically admitted to select North Carolina colleges and universities. This eliminates some aspects of a traditional college application, like personal essays.
Students will be matched to a select list of participating NC College Connect colleges and universities based on their weighted GPA and meeting NC College Connect requirements. While some students may be eligible for direct admission to all institutions, others will not. Students will be notified by mail and through their CFNC account if they qualify.
If you are not eligible for direct admission, that does not mean you shouldn't apply! If you are not offered direct admission, you will need to fill out the full application for the institution, and your admittance is not guaranteed.
