Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation are an important part of many college applications. Institutions want to get to know you better as a student, leader, and person through what teachers and other folks have to say about your character, work ethic, and achievements. 

When looking for a recommender, consider things like what classes you have most enjoyed or been most successful in, what teachers know you best, and what teachers have seen you grow. If you need help deciding who to ask, come see Ms. Kepley!

Be sure to ask your recommenders EARLY for their help. Chances are they are writing recommendations for multiple students, so giving them ample time is both helpful and courteous. 

Also- Thank your recommenders! A thank you note goes a long way!
