Located on a hill on the Chikugo riverside, just to the rear of JR Kurume Station, is Bairin-Ji, a majestic-looking temple belonging to the Myoshinji school of Rinzai Zen Buddhism.
Famous for its strict Buddhist training, plum blossoms, and carved wooden relief.
