A great place to stop for lunch is the restaurant "Hotomeki-An" adjacent to Michi no Eki Kurume.

The restaurant uses vegetables grown at its own farm, "Onaka Genki Noen", and offers about 30 local dishes and creative dishes. Ordering is cafeteria-style, with customers picking up a tray, freely choosing their favorite dishes, and paying the bill as they go.

The vegetables at Onaka Genki Noen are grown with the utmost care using no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, so they taste and feel fresh and very delicious! It is great that everyone from children to adults can enjoy them with peace of mind. The rice is made from brown rice produced in Kurume with reduced use of agricultural chemicals, salt is natural sea salt, and soy sauce and miso are made using only the finest ingredients and production methods.
