RC Application

RC Application Instructions

Students may apply for the RC using two methods:

Applied individually by student.
Applied through the visa agency, HireVisa .

If you have plans to leave the country before the end of April, please make sure to make a reservation with the Immigration Office for the end of February or at the very start of March.

1. Applying Individually

Students require the following documents to apply for their RC individually at the Seoul Southern Immigration Office.

Please note that students MUST make an online appointment at the Seoul Southern Immigration Office before their visit for application.

Required Documents

1. Certificate of Enrollment (Studentship)

The certificate can be collected from the Office of International Affairs (ECC B334).

Bring Reservation Receipt after making a reservation on HiKorea.go.kr.

2. Confirmation of Residence

On campus residents: For those who will be living in the I-House dormitory, you will be able to print out the I-House Confirmation of Residency online through Ewha student portal (“Eureka Portal”).

Off campus residents: For those who will be living off-campus, the required documents vary by housing type, so please consult the HireVisa website.

3. RC Application

4. Copy of Passport Information Page

Passport information page must be clear and easy to read. Physical passport should also be brought along to immigration office at the time of application.

5. Confirmation of Visa Issuance

Must be clear and easy to read.

6. 3.5X4.5 Inch ID Card Photo

This is a standard passport photo that meets international standards.

IMPORTANT: Photo MUST show both side of ears and be of high quality.

7. Reservation

Receipt

Appointment receipt from made appointment through the Immigration Office website.

8. Application Fee (Cash Only)

The application fee is 35,000 KRW.

2. Applying through HireVisa

HireVisa is a visa agency in Korea with English services available for international students. There will be two rounds of application through HireVisa. Students will need to complete the online application form.
