Clarifications for the Aftermath of Event 4: Fulcrum
Summary of the Events:
The entire Evensong Expedition-- including all the Champions (aka all Players)-- were declared Heretics and Traitors by the Inquisitor Prime. During the ensuing conflict, the Champions (or whatever name they now choose to call themselves) escaped in the company of several Vespers, as well as General Monbaird of the Templars, and Seneschel Morris. Holy Councilor and Commander of the Evensong Expedition, Morgan Shepherd, sacrificed herself to ensure their escape. The Champions are now exiles and criminals, deemed traitors by the Holy Council of Concordance.
Q: What has changed, logistically speaking, for our characters?
A: All Champions-- and thus all Players, including those not at the game or not in the tavern for the announcement-- have now LOST the extra third Grace granted to them as Champions. All Champions-- and thus all Players, including those not at the game or not in the tavern for the announcement-- have also all been marked with the Brand of the Fell, and no longer have one free death per event. There is NO CHANGE in terms of Faith Skills. Your connections to your deities remains unchanged. Finally, they no longer carry the trait “Expedition Members” announced at the pre-game meeting.
Q: Where are we now?
A: You are brought to a campsite in the woods of the North, several miles from the Evensong Expedition camp. There are structures at the new location. The few Vespers you have already met will remain with you, coming and going over the summer. Otherwise you have the area to yourselves.
Q: Can they choose to refuse to remain at the new location?
A: Yes. However if you do so, you will be taken into custody by the Templars and other government powers. Please let staff know if you chose to do this. You will not be able to communicate in game between events with other players, and your BGA options may be restricted.
Q: What happens if I setup a BGA during the event with an NPC who is now confirmed Dead or is still Missing?
A: If you set up a BGA during the event with an NPC who is now dead or still missing you may still submit the BGA, as arrangements will be made to provide an alternate response.
Q: What happens to any belongings they do not have on them when they run away?
A: You may assume that for personal items you are able to sneak back and recover them (or that Vesper agents do so on your behalf). Items with significant In Game value or importance will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The Order of the Nightingale book will be recovered and brought to the new location.
Q: Can players who were not there on Sunday rejoin the other players and converse IG between events?
A: Yes. Assume that if your character returns to the Evensong Expedition site, you are intercepted by Vesper agents, who invite you to come with them to rejoin the other now-exiled Champions.
Q: What happens to anyone who dies during the final fight?
They will remain with the Champions, and will go to the Fell for Judgement in the Fall.
Q: Can players perform Weavewalks and Pathfolds as usual?
A: Yes.
Q: What about the rest of the Evensong Expedition? (aka the NPCs)
A: A number of other members of the Evensong Expedition join you over the coming days and weeks, bringing news that the Council’s orders applied not just to the Champions but the entire Evensong Expedition. There are stories of many who were arrested and rounded up by the Templars. There are also rumors that some perished in the attack. Their fate remains unknown. At the present time, most of the Expedition leadership remains missing.

Q: What happened to the three artifacts from the Rite of Renewal and the Kotodun Troyvich panel?
A: Nikos Demerci, the former Military Advisor of the Evensong expedition informs you that Morgan Shepard, after the Rite of Restoration, ordered the Chalice and the Troyvich Panel be hidden to keep the Inquisitor Prime from seizing them both. The other two artifacts were being held by and remain with, the Champions.
Q: What happened to the Treasury? Do players have any access to it in their new location?
A: At the present time there is no access to the Treasury Shrine, but the Vespers indicate there may be a way to arrange access in the fall.
Q: What happened to the map table?
A: There is a new Maptable with the new regional map at your new location.
The evening of June 23, the night ordained as the Festival of Dreams, draws near. And many throughout the lands of Concordance are said to be questioning the Holy Council's decision to let Councilor Morgan Shepherd of Taomun lead the Evensong expedition.
The roads north have been closed to pilgrims. No longer will the Festival be a grand spectacle, attended by hundreds of guests. Instead, some wonder if it will happen at all, given that important ritual items are still said to be missing, and Vespers are becoming increasingly brazen in their attacks, with reports of caravans and travelers in Concordance proper coming under attack. In response, the Templars have increased patrols and shifted forces to meet these new threats, but concern is growing that the Templar army may be stretched too thin. Of particular concern is the Land of Gold and Silver, as the 7th Division previously located there was transferred to Evensong last year.
If the Rite of Restoration fails, the shield will NOT be restored and the forces of nightmare will see their victory and destroy us all! What will happen to Concordance then?
Meanwhile Inquisitor Peveral, one of Morgan Shepherd’s close supporters within the Expedition leadership, is said to have been recalled to Inquisition Headquarters in the City of Dreams, with an alternate en route to replace her. It remains to be seen if this is a temporary or a permanent reassignment.
The Champions remain busy over the spring, with work underway to continue excavations of the old Northlands palace, said to be tied to efforts to uncover the Shrine of Dreams for the rite. Little has been seen of the strange stone people-- statues that move-- since the early spring, but scouts and expedition workers have reported seeing them occasionally, in the wilds, watching.
The former Bandit chief known as Carver seems to be in full cooperation with the Evensong Expedition. Earlier this spring, a large group of bandits are rumored to have attempted to recruit Carver to their cause. It’s believed that Carver turned on them instead, aiding the Champions in routing the miscreants.
