- Our primary goal is to work together, as a European community, to build a sustainable, technology based teaching tool. For example, creating a remote controlled boat that is propelled by solar power where each school is responsible for a specific aspect of the build. Student’s educational, methodological, professional, and social skills are improved through interdisciplinary and relevant professional training concepts and evaluated through a pro-European lens over the duration of the project. Those involved take part in full- or part-time vocational training in the fields of electrical engineering, mechatronics and or ICT. Their previous experience and technical ‘know how’ is paired up with student peers from various countries: Finland, Germany, Netherland and Poland.
- Refugees should have equal access to technology education and trans-European projects. As well, they offer a great potential target audience for the sustainable project results.
- Another goal of EURICT is to raise the overall interest level and participation of young women in technology. This will be taken into consideration during the selection process and can also be another potential sustainable target audience for the project results.
- The involvement of students from different cultural and religious backgrounds in the project is an opportunity to enhance the personal and social competences of all participants.
- At the beginning of each visit students will be taught helpful words/expressions from each of the countries involved, intended to assist their stay and to expand their European vocabulary. English will be the primary language of communication and will offer participants opportunity to gain confidence in and help improve their English speaking abilities.
- Student's job outlooks will be improved through interdisciplinary and relevant professional training concepts as well as learning first hand about each countries job climate/markets. Visits to relevant companies and businesses will be an important part of each visit.
- Finally, European ideals will be peacefully and amicably furthered/advanced through group work and collaboration.
