Outline

The project task was to navigate a movable stage light (a “moving head”) with the help of a microcontroller.

The students chose individual microcotrollers and input devices. The German group, for example, discussed working with a solution consisiting of a ARDUINO controller and a very basic joystick designed for computers in the 90s.

The stage light was supposed to be controlled through the DMX BUS which is used to connect various pieces of stage technology.

The students had to work on the effective parts (hardware) and do the necessary coding (software) in order to approach the microcontroller solution successfully.
