This hands-on task allows students to apply knowledge of materials, design principles, and craftsmanship techniques while expressing their creativity and personal style. They are assessed not only on the final product's aesthetic appeal and functionality but also on their planning process, material selection, problem-solving, and presentation. This mirrors real-world design challenges in the fashion industry, making the learning experience meaningful and practical. 

OVERVIEW:

Fashion accessories are decorative or functional items that complement and enhance an individual’s outfit or personal style. These include a wide range of products such as jewelry, bags, belts, hats, scarves, watches, and hairpieces, each serving to express creativity, identity, and cultural trends. Fashion accessories play a vital role in the fashion industry by allowing people to personalize their look, follow or set trends, and adapt their wardrobe for different occasions. Whether handcrafted or mass-produced, these accessories combine design, material knowledge, and craftsmanship, making them both a creative art form and a commercial product. 

REFLECTION:

Exploring fashion accessories has given me a deeper appreciation for how small details can make a big impact on personal style and self-expression. Creating my own accessories allowed me to experiment with design, materials, and techniques, which helped develop my creativity, patience, and attention to detail. It was rewarding to see how a simple idea could be transformed into something wearable and unique. This experience also taught me that fashion is not just about clothing—accessories are powerful tools for storytelling, identity, and even cultural expression.
