OVERVIEW:
Electrical installation maintenance involves the regular inspection, testing, repair, and servicing of electrical systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation. It includes tasks such as checking wiring, circuit breakers, switches, grounding systems, and electrical panels for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction. Proper maintenance helps prevent electrical hazards like short circuits, overloads, and fires, while also extending the lifespan of equipment and reducing downtime. REFLECTION:
During our lessons and hands-on activities on electrical installation maintenance, I learned how essential it is to regularly inspect and maintain electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency. One of the most valuable things I experienced was using tools like a multimeter to detect faults and seeing how even small wiring issues could lead to bigger problems if left unchecked. I realized that maintenance work isn't just technical—it also requires patience, problem-solving, and strict attention to safety. This experience has helped me build confidence in handling electrical components and taught me the importance of doing the job right the first time. Moving forward, I aim to apply these skills more effectively and stay updated with safety codes and best practices.
