Practices will resume in January at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC.
Pillerkaar dance practice will begin on Tuesdays, January 20, 2026 at 6:30pm at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Foggy Bottom! 728 23rd St NW, Washington, DC 20037.
Practice will run about 1.5-2 hours to about 8:30pm.
A map is above and parking is available on the street but there are some spaces that are No Parking until 6:30. There are also a few spaces we can use in the parking lot.
Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro is just a few blocks north on 23rd St.
We are practicing in the Fellowship Hall, in the back to the right. Although we are in the same church as before, we are NOT practicing in the same room. Instead of the Undercroft, from 23rd Street come up the stairs, through the gate, and to the Fellowship Hall, in the back right.
WES is going to have an Independence Day celebration on Saturday, February 21, and Pillerkaar has been invited to perform.

When does Pillerkaar practice?
6:30 - 8:30 pm every Wednesday (except holidays and inclement weather).
Where should I park?
Parking is free in the church parking lot. Turn left BEFORE the main door into the alley and at end turn left. There are 6 spaces ONLY on the left where we are designated to park. OR, street parking after 6:30pm and relatively easy to find. You may just have to walk a few blocks.
What should I wear to practice?
Shorts or warm ups (you'll get hot), comfortable shirt, and tennis shoes.
What should I bring?
Something to drink (ice water is best).
What does "Pillerakaar" mean?
In Estonian it means revelry, party, soiree, or social gathering.
