We also use this program as an opportunity to teach those who are willing and/or interested in learning how to work on vehicles, from basic maintenance up to more advanced mechanical skills. This includes deputies who want to participate in running the program, as well as individuals who bring in their vehicles. Non-employees of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office are required to sign a waiver if they volunteer for mechanic services or to learn mechanical skills, both under supervision by our fleet management.

Blaine County Milestone Program
The Milestone Program was launched in October of 2024 as part of an initiative by the Blaine County Sheriff's Office to find ways in which we can better engage the public and give back to the community that we serve every day.
Every weekend, the Blaine County Sheriff's Office hosts the Milestone Program at our headquarters, where we invite the public -- particularly law enforcement officers, military veterans, and low-income families -- to bring their vehicles in for service at our Fleet Management station. We offer mechanic services to the community for low to no cost at sliding scale pricing, depending on the individual's income.
