PATROL OPERATIONSDIVISION
The Patrol Operations Division (POD) of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office is committed to maintaining public safety and providing effective law enforcement services throughout the county. POD is responsible for all patrol operations, ensuring a visible and proactive presence in our communities.
POD is led by a dedicated team of commanders and supervisors consisting of Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains who oversee daily operations and ensure the highest standards of service. The experienced leadership that these individuals provide help to guide our deputies in their mission to protect and serve the community.
Patrol operations are also managed administratively by a Watch Command element composed of two Lieutenants, one Captain, and one Major, who are assigned specifically to overseeing the efficacy of the division. This team monitors operations around the clock, ensuring a quick response to incidents and effective coordination during critical situations.
All deputies, upon completion of the Sheriff's Academy and full employment with BCSO, are automatically entered into the Patrol Operations Division. Patrol deputies are tasked with:
Effective 6/10/24, deputies with paygrades B9 thru B6 are automatically entered into POD; Sergeants with paygrades B5 & B4 are automatically regarded as POD supervisors. Deputies interested in furthering their career within POD should make their command or high command team aware of their career intentions, especially during monthly personnel audits and interviews.
