AVERT Training - Active Violence Emergency Response Training - AVERT is a critical step toward preparing your organization for the potential of active violence. Your team’s level of training and preparedness can have a significant impact on the outcome of an emergency situation. This course covers Violence Awareness, Detection, Prevention as well as Situational Awareness, Advanced Bleeding Control and Basic Escape and Evade tactics. We also cover basic disarming and survival techniques that can help you and your staff survive violent encounters. Included is a free basic assessment of your Workplace or Church to give you ideas and show potential weaknesses in your defense strategy.
BASIC CPR and FIRST AID TRAINING - These courses are available to ANYONE. Covers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for ADULT, CHILDREN, and INFANT victims. Includes AED use. First Aid for Common Medical Emergencies and Injuries. Our courses are customized to meet the needs of our clients. This class meets the requirements for VDSS, OSHA, and many other agencies. It also meets and exceeds requirements for BSA/GSUSA Level 1 Provider and for VIRGINIA TEACHING CERTIFICATE RENEWAL.
BLS - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - For the Professional Rescuer - This course covers CPR/AED 1 and 2 rescuer for the Adult, Child and Infant. It is designed to meet the needs of the Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer. It includes AED, BVM usage and special resuscitation circumstances for the Professional Rescuer. (Meets ALL VA Licensing and TRICARE requirements)
Bloodborne Pathogens - Covers the 29 CFR 1910.1030 standard and prepares participants to use Universal Precautions to prevent the transmission of disease. This course meets requirements for OSHA, VDSS, Healthcare Providers, Tattoo Artists, Office Staff and Employee that is required to complete the training.
ADVANCED BLEEDING CONTROL - This 2 hr course is designed to provide detailed information on the control of Severe External Bleeding, including the use of Pressure, Commercial Pressure Bandages, Tourniquets, and Packed Dressings. This course is for individuals who have a greater than average chance of witnessing or being involved in an injury event in which heavy bleeding occurs and professional medical care is not readily available or is overwhelmed, such as law enforcement, private security, workplace emergency response team personnel and staff at large events, campuses or large occupied structures.
WILDERNESS FIRST AID - Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment. With our Wilderness First Aid class, providers in a remote outdoor setting will be better prepared to respond when faced with limited resources, longer times to care for someone, and decisions about when and how fast to evacuate an ill or injured person. This comprehensive 16-hour wilderness first aid course meets or exceeds the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, 2017 Edition. It is also considered LEVEL 2 First Aid training of GSUSA.
Child and Babysitter Training - Class teaches CPR & choking, water hazards, fun activities to entertain children of various age groups, infant and child feeding, diapering procedures, providing emergency care, basic first aid care, and much more!
