OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Hey everyone! Hope your October has been sweet! This has been a precious month, and I am so excited to share with you all!

FALL CLUB TEAM
Our fall club season just wrapped up, and it went by so quickly! This month was special because we were able to have a few team events outside of normal training. The girls always love these kinds of things.
Several of my girls run cross country for their school, and they had their last meet of the season. I was able to take several of our other girls to the meet to watch and support their teammates. It was so special to have time to have real, intentional conversations with them off of the field. We were able to take a van and transport several of the girls together. I made each of them spend five minutes in the "hot seat" and was able to have one-on-one conversation with them about real things happening in their lives. It was so fun to get to know them better as individuals and to watch them support each other.
After the meet, we went to ice cream as a team. Again, it was a great opportunity to allow them to grow closer as teammates as well as get to know them better as their coach. I am so grateful to be in a position to foster sweet relationships with special girls.

END OF SEASON PICNIC
As our season came to a close, we were able to have an end of season picnic at one of our family's home. We grilled out, and the girls enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers and time playing together. This was a special time for me because I was able to connect with many of the parents in ways I hadn't been able to in the past. Praise the Lord for these families, their relationships, and the space to hold events like this one to continue to build those!

MICROLEAGUE
MicroLeague also wrapped up at the end of this month. As the weather cooled down, my girls seemed to calm down some too. The last few weeks of Micro were incredibly chill, and we all had a lot of fun. At the end of our season, we have a party called "MicroFest." At MicroFest, we played a lot of soccer, shared about who Jesus is with both the kids and their families, and we served cupcakes, hot chocolate, candy, and toys. The kids obviously LOVED this, and it was such a joyous evening!

HOST FAMILY
I really do feel like a part of the family at home. We have been building lots of forts, painting pumpkins, and wrapping up a kitchen renovation! Aaron flew us to dinner recently, and that was a blast. It was really fun to see the little boys on the plane and get to share that with some other Eagles staff.

CHANGING OF THE SEASONS
It is starting to get quite a bit colder in Chicago, and the weather has turned cloudy and cool most days. With the change of the weather and the change of our soccer seasons, I have found so much joy in the fun events of the fall.
Our club team did a costume practice, and the girls had an absolute blast. We had quite a variety of characters!
As an organization, Eagles are pretty connected with several local churches and neighborhoods. We have been able to do a few Trunk or Treats in these communities and continue building relationships with the families within, and that has been really fun. I was in charge of planning our participation and designing our trunk. I was also able to connect with one of my host families from Summer Academy, and it was great to get to see them again!
Praises and Prayer Requests
Both our Micro and Club seasons wrapped up really nicely, and I really enjoyed this part of the season.
This month has consisted of many many filling conversations. It has truly been such a blessing to spend time with the communities God has gifted me with here!
I am excited to see friends at several different schools as we begin recruiting for Academy. The Lord has been so sweet to provide this opportunity.
There has been quite a bit of sickness in the office on and off, and this seems to be the reality of the in-between weather and working with kids. Prayers for health would be greatly appreciated.
I am traveling to recruit for Summer Academy now, so please pray for safety and over the process of preparing for Academy.
There have been a few changes in roles in the office, and Elisha and I are being given some cool new responsibilities. I am really excited for these things, but I would love prayer over these new roles.
