AUGUST NEWSLETTER
Hello Friends and Family!
I hope you are doing well! I am so excited to be writing my FIRST MINISTRY UPDATE! This has been such a fun season of life to jump into, and I am so excited to share it with you all.
As you can tell, I have created a website that I hope will serve as a kind of "one-stop-shop" for all of my life updates. I will be adding little updates and stories about each of our programs regularly, and I also plan to post my newsletters here.
I am now almost one month into my Residency with the Chicago Eagles. I am coaching one of our Girls Club teams, coaching in our Micro League, working through our Residency and Beyond Residency Curriculums, and helping out around the office. I am so blessed to be in an environment in which I am constantly being pour into, and I see God's hand so clearly in placing me with each of my kiddos to continue to pour that love out to them. This ministry would not be possible without your partnership. Thank you for your willingness to serve God's kingdom through this avenue.

FALL CLUB TEAMS
This fall I will be coaching our 2014 Girls Club Team. This group of girls is obviously new to me, but they have been together as a team for a few seasons now. They are small in numbers, but mighty in energy and excitement!
This group of girls has been the perfect match for my first season of coaching. They are so fun and gracious, and spending time with them has been precious. I often think they are teaching me more than I am teaching them!
Most of my girls are just starting middle school, which means I get to hear lots of fun stories about pretty much everything you can imagine. It has been neat to already see ways they are growing and changing as they face the biggest life transition many have them have experienced.
As I mentioned, we are struggling with numbers. Prayers that the Lord would bring the right girls to this team would be so greatly appreciated!

FALL KICKOFF
To kick off our fall club season, we hosted a potluck and pick-up event, and it was a huge hit! Nearly half of our girls' families came out for soccer and dinner! It was so sweet to hang out with the girls and get to know their families a bit better. It was also really special to see all of our club teams come together for the event. I enjoyed getting to connect with some of our boys' team families whom I don't typically get to cross paths with much!

BETHEL WOMEN'S TEAM TOUR
Our office was able to host the Bethel Women's Soccer Team for a preseason retreat, and I got to spend the day hanging out with them! We ran a mini SMT (Sports Ministry Training) with them, and we discussed Identity and Gospel. Elisha and I were able to share a little bit about our experiences at Summer Academy and invite them to consider Academy.
We also ran our own version of the Amazing Race for them in downtown Chicago. It was great to spend some time getting to know the girls better. I always really enjoy when we get to visit with groups or talk to teams. It is such a clear reminder that the same God moving here and now in Chicago is present and powerful over each of these campuses, teams, players, and you!
Praises and Prayer Requests
The Lord has been so good in providing a home and family for me to live with here in Chicago (check them out on my "Life in Chicago" page)!
The community I have already begun to find here is such a testament to the faithfulness of God. I already feel like I have found family.
I would love prayer for my team! For safety over each of my players, for the right players to be participating, and for guidance in how to coach them best. My prayer for them this season is that they would not only grow as soccer players but more importantly as young women following the Lord.
The schedule is already beginning to pick up. I am praying for rest, energy, and endurance as more of our programs begin and we get busier and busier.
