BACKGROUND
Journalism has been a passion of mine since the age of six! After returning home from a field trip to the zoo, I sat down at my family's computer and wrote an event story, even including quotes from my first grade teacher.
I have been a journalism student at Northern Kentucky University since the fall of 2021, with minors in Spanish and marketing. I am also a member of NKU Presidential Ambassadors and the Society of Professional Journalists.
As a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, we have been able to take trips like this one to Cincinnati's WCPO Channel 9 television station.
As a Presidential Ambassador, I give tours to prospective students and volunteer at key university events.
During my sophomore year, I was asked to be a model for NKU's new marketing campaign, and I found myself on the university's website and billboards across the city!
I went to my first Cincinnati Bengals game during my sophomore year of college and loved it!
Going to Cincinnati Reds games and spending time with friends is always a treat!
MY PASSIONS
As a girl from small town Western Kentucky, I have enjoyed exploring the Greater Cincinnati area, cheering on the NKU Norse and Cincinnati teams at sporting events and building connections with university professors and administrators.
Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, reading mysteries, listening to music and thrift shopping.
At my core, I love meeting people and finding unique ways to share their stories.
I have been honored to walk on NKU's homecoming court two years in a row.
Attending NKU basketball games and homecoming events has also been a highlight of my college experience.
