The United Church of Christ Lighthouse Church in Beacon Point is the pastorate of Rev. Alan Walsh, who's been the pastor for the past seven years, since being discharged from the army. The church was constructed using the existing lighthouse building, and the tower has not been in use for several years.

Perched on a high bluff overlooking Lake Superior's southern shore, the lighthouse church has been a landmark in Beacon Point for years. The church sits just west of town, on the other side of a dense tract of pines. A single road connects the church to the main east-west road leading into Beacon Point.
