Edith Traviers
Executive Assistant to Desmond Martin
Executive Assistant to Desmond Martin
Executive assitant, prepper, survivalist.
Edith Traviers was born in the mountains of southwestern Virgina, and grew up on her family's farm in Wythe County. Her father, Dustin, maintained the family farm that has been in the Traviers family since the American Revolution. He tutored Edith and groomed her to run the family estate when he was ready to retire, but she wanted to serve the country and planned on enlisting in the military after high school. With high apptitude tests and athletic abilities, she was confident she could have gone to any branch and succeeded.
Her parents convinced her to go to college first, and it was there she discovered the CIA's analyst program--her parents always said the agency had unduly influenced their daughter's career path--and never looked back.
Her father knew early on that Edith would never take over the family farm like he'd wanted and instead decided to instill in her a fierce self-reliance, which naturally led Edith to the prepper lifestyle, which she still adheres to as part of Martin Enterprises. She has several safe locations in her name all around teh country with more than a dozen caches of supplies hidden--sometimes in plain sight, sometimes buried in remote areas--in strategic locations should she ever need food or weapons in an emergency.
Edith Traviers was recruited out of college by the CIA as part of their analysts program. She went through field ops training and had started her new job, quickly making waves with her uncanny abiilty to spot trends and patterns and thus make accurate predictions of events and human behavior.
After a few years of notable success at Langley, Desmond Martin pulled several dozen strings and convinced her bosses to release her into his employ. It was rumored he blackmailed her supervisors, or alternatively bribed the agency with truckloads of cash--either way, he accomplished the impossible and stole her away from the CIA long before her contract expired and her career had run it's course.
Martin recognized her unique prowess with patterns and predictions and quickly promoted her through the ranks of his executive team to become his personal assistant and advisor, second only in importance to his wife, Catia. As his executive assistant, Edith frequently travels with Martin around teh world on his various trips to secure funding, technology, or business rights around the world. She is in sole command of Centurion and handles many of Martin's day to day tasks, in some ways more a vice president than an assistant.
Edith is an only child and her parents Dustin and Mary, passed away a year ago in a car accidnet. She inherited the family farm in Wythe County, Virginia and visits regularly. Edith is neither married, nor seriously dating anyone at present, having devoted her waking life to Desmond Martin's companies. With his drem of Elixr coming to fruition, Edith is more convinced than ever that Martin is a good man and has mankind's best interests at heart. Due to the nature of her job and how much time she spends with Martin and in his company, she has over the past few years become good friends with Catia Galaz-Martin.
