Thursday - 2.22.24

The start to today was definitely different from each day since we arrived. Everyone was able to decide what time they wanted to wake up! Some students got up early to work out at the gym, some grabbed a nice cup of coffee in the coffee shop, and others decided to let their internal alarm clocks decide when it was time to open their eyes.

For those who wanted to explore Puerto Plata, there was an optional tour this morning that took them on a cable car up a mountain in Puerto Plata. Once at the top of the mountain, all of the students had a breathtaking view of the ocean and city of Puerto Plata. They also got to enjoy the botanical gardens that adorn the top of the mountain.

For the rest of the day, everyone hung out at the resort and enjoyed the many amenities that it has to offer. With delicious food, a picturesque beach, multiple pools, and 80 degree weather, who could complain?

To wrap up the day, the hotel had a spectacular dance show followed by a silent DJ party by the pool. Some of the students got in on the action and even got to learn how to dance some bachata! It was a perfect way to end the day on a fun, positive note.
