flour
oil
sugar
PREP:
Chop up your fruit into bite-size pieces.
Make the batter by mixing the flour, a sprinkling of sugar (not too much, fruit's pretty sweet on its own), and whatever spices you want. Apples go well with cinnamon and maybe nutmeg; bananas are fine on their own.
Coat the fruit pieces in batter. You might have to do this in batches so that the pieces can get thoroughly coated.
FRY:
Heat enough oil into your frying pan so that when you put fruit pieces in, it'll be half submerged.
Fry the first batch of fruit pieces. They shouldn't touch each other.
Flip them over when golden brown.
When the other side is also golden brown, take them out and put them on a paper towel to soak up all the excess oil.
Repeat until all fried.
Eat while hot. They taste so so sad when cold or reheated.
