Melisa Bozaci joined the DVU research group as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Alice Cicirello in October 2024. Her research focuses on structural health monitoring (SHM) of wind turbines using physics-enhanced machine learning to assess and maintain their structural integrity.
Melisa obtained her integrated master's MEng Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Sheffield in 2024. She completed her final year project called “On Machine Learning in Modal Analysis,” which involved tracking and monitoring time-varying systems using nonlinear filtering for structural health applications.
Her research interests include dynamics, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, and their application to real-life problems.
