Iarla is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge working within the DVU group and the Centre for Climate Repair under the supervision of Dr Alice Cicirello. Iarla's research is on developing physics informed machine learning algorithms to distinguish the effects of aerosol-cloud interactions in the context of marine cloud brightening.
Iarla obtained his BSc Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2023. He then completed his MSc Physics by Research in 2024, also at Royal Holloway, with his research being on spatiotemporal machine learning algorithms for long-term meteorological forecasts.
Iarla joined the DVU group in 2024 as part of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science.
