FIRST Steamworks featured a retro-futuristic steampunk theme where alliances scored points by fuel-loading a "Boiler" and delivering "Gears" to an Airship to engage its massive rotors. Our 2017 robot, Shaquille O'Wheel, was a powerhouse of efficiency, capable of delivering a gear and launching 10 fuel cells into the High-Efficiency Boiler during the 15-second autonomous period. Throughout the match, the robot served as a primary transporter, consistently retrieving and delivering upwards of five gears to the Airship's pilots. To cap off the performance, Shaquille O'Wheel featured a high-speed climbing mechanism that allowed it to scale the Airship's rope and secure 50 endgame points in just five seconds.
