FIRST Stronghold transported 2240 to a medieval-themed battlefield where alliances of three teams worked together to breach heavy fortifications and capture the opposing alliance’s tower. The field was defined by the Outer Works, a series of modular obstacles—such as the Moat, Rock Wall, and Drawbridge—that required robust drivetrain engineering and precise driver control to navigate. Points were earned by crossing these defenses and launching 10-inch foam "boulders" into the tower’s high and low goals to weaken its "strength."
