Indications
Light Pain (1-3)
Warnings
Do not administer if paracetamol has already been given within past 4 hours, or if total paracetamol intake for past 24 hours exceeds 4g/kg
Dosage
1000 mg/100 mL IV infusion (AAV only).
Route: Oral, IV infusion (AAV only)
Onset of action: 30 minutes (oral), 5-10 minutes (IV)
Duration of action: 4 hours
Notes
Carefully determine previous Paracetamol intake prior to administration.
IV paracetamol should only be used where the oral route is not appropriate.
