Critical Pain (10+)
Warnings
Do not administer if patient has a suspected brain injury.
Do not administer to patients with highly unstable pulse or recent cardiac arrest.
Dosage
200mg IV (diluted with 18ml saline).
Route: IV
Onset of action: Immediate
Duration of action: 30-60 minutes
Notes
Ketamine is a Schedule 8 drug under the Poisons Act and its use must be carefully controlled with accountability and responsibility.
