How to generate a centerline SVG from your script image to Import into VCarve Pro.

Two Part Neon requires a T slot bit which is best as a profile cut from a single line. Problem - Most fonts are dual line (closed shapes allow different fill colors.

Therefore yo need a work around to change fonts into single centerlines.
How to generate a centerline SVG from your script image

1. Install Inkscape  Download Inkscape - Free - latest version 

Download from inkscape.org (free, safe, widely used).

2. Open your script image

• File → Import

• Select your “Mr and Mrs Portnoy” image

3. Select the image

Click once so it’s highlighted.

4. Run the Centerline Trace

• Menu → Extensions

• → Images

• → Centerline Trace

A dialog opens.

5. Use these settings (works best for script fonts)

• Brightness cutoff: 0.45–0.55

• Stroke width: 1.0

• Tightness: 0.5

• Optimize: ON

• Remove original image: optional

Click Apply.

6. You now have REAL centerline vectors

You’ll see a new set of paths drawn over your script — this is the single‑stroke version.

7. Save as SVG

• File → Save As

• Choose SVG

8. Import into VCarve Pro

• VCarve → Import Vectors

• Select your SVG

• Apply Profile Toolpath

• Done

This gives you a true centerline, not an outline, not a double line, not a filled font.
