Weekly Journal 8

The entire week of my seventh internship was fantastic and full of new experiences. My cooperating school held a Portfolio Day this week, and we've been busy working and preparing. Preparing student outputs, projects, and report cards and decorating the venue for the portfolio activity was a privilege for me as a preservice teacher to participate in school activities and be assigned a specific task by my cooperating teacher. As a future educator, it assisted me in gaining knowledge and improving my skills. I was pleased because the portfolio activity went well with parental participation. My cooperating teacher was also observed for a demonstration by the principal this week, Tuesday. On Monday, I assisted my cooperating teacher in preparing her instructional materials. We were busy at the time, preparing for the demonstration and the portfolio day. However, my cooperating teacher's demonstration was a success. I saw how well my cooperating teacher handled her class during the demonstration. She employs a variety of teaching techniques. Learned a lot about how to deliver a lesson, how to get the students' attention, how to manage the class, and how to be prepared and confident when teaching during the demonstration by my cooperating teachers. On Wednesday and Thursday, my cooperating teacher let me handle the class. At the time, I was nervous, but Ma'am Ces' advice helped me handle the situation well. I was able to teach my students using the knowledge I gained from Ma'am Ces, and they learned from me too. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach the class and share my knowledge with my students. From the demonstration to the portfolio day, everything went smoothly. As a future teacher, all these experiences that I have had that gave me knowledge and takeaways could help me in the future. If given the will in the future, I will apply all the experiences and learnings from this internship.
