In my 7th week of internship, I observed that teachers were busy working over paperwork to no end. I saw how challenging teachers are, but because of their dedication, how many papers they should submit does not affect them. The bulk of reports and school papers are the reason why teachers can’t even have a good night's sleep. Aside from the actual work, they are also busy preparing the modules, and much more extra work arises. These workloads are extra ones from their original functions, and it takes time for the teachers to finish their work immediately. As a student intern, it is my duty and responsibility to help my cooperating teacher. To make my cooperating teacher's job easier, I printed the modules, sorted them, stapled them, and separated them into student plastic envelopes. The most patient teachers are those who are preoccupied with paperwork. Despite having students to supervise, they always manage to complete the reports on time, no matter how hectic the schedule is. You never know how a teacher feels under these circumstances. After completing all of these tasks, an ordinary person will become extraordinary. I recognized the teacher's job from delivering classroom instructions for students to learn, doing the bulking out of paperwork, etc., and attending seminars. Last Friday, Baybay II Central School conducted a seminar for interns, to which we interns invited. As a future educator, I am grateful for the opportunity they have provided and the learning and takeaways from the seminar; being with them was a fantastic experience. I learned a lot of information that I can apply in the future that will help me become a better educator. They teach us a lot about teaching methods and techniques, as well as the role of the teacher. I was able to build and develop my skills and confidence as a result of the said seminar, as well as experience what it is like to be a teacher in the real world. As a future teacher, I will treasure the knowledge I gained this week and apply it in the future.
